Traffic Exchanges and How They Work

TRAFFIC EXCHANGES

How They Work

You join a traffic exchange to view other members websites in exchange for them to view yours. Viewing other websites is sometimes called surfing. As you surf other websites you earn credits. These credits are then used to show your site to others. Every time another member views your site, credits are deducted from your account. So the more credits you store up, the more times your website will be displayed to others.

Every site is different with their surfing requirements. Some only make you view a members site for 5 seconds and some 30 seconds. Some also make you assign your credits so make sure you check for that.

There is another way you can store up extra credits without having to do any surfing. This is by referring others to the traffic exchanges you belong to. This is great if you have someone in your downline who has never used traffic exchanges before or is new at Internet Marketing. Teach them how to use traffic exchanges and refer them to the ones you are currently using.

FireFox

If you had to manually view one traffic exchange at a time, it would take all day. Instead, you can use Mozilla FireFox to view 8 traffic exchanges at once. You can Download FireFox for Free by visiting Here and clicking the little blue button on the right hand side, just under the list of links.

Here is how it works:

    1. Enter your first traffic exchange link in the browser and get started surfing.

    2. As soon as your first TE is loaded click File, New Tab. A new tab will pop up and you can add traffic exchange link #2.

    3. Once you get your second TE going, again click File, New Tab. Do this until you have 8 Traffic Exchanges going at once. You can click back from tab to tab. You should be able to go from 1 to 8 so that when you get back to 1 it's ready for you to surf the next site.

*If you want you can click Bookmark, Bookmark all tabs. Then when you are ready to surf again the next day you can just find your bookmark and it will load all 8 tabs for you.

How Many Traffic Exchanges Should you be Using?

This is entirely up to you. What I recommend is setting up one set of tabs for each day of the week you are going to work online. So that would be 8 Traffic Exchanges per day times how many days. I do 5 days per week. That comes out to 40 Traffic Exchanges. If you don't want to get involved in that many, just pick your top 10 or 20 and re-do those same ones each day. Even if you just choose 8 and continue to work them each day you are working online, you will see results.

How Long Should you spend on Traffic Exchanges per day?

My sponsor spends one hour per day and he makes pretty good money. I must admit that I currently only spend 30 minutes per working day doing traffic exchanges. This amount of time should be what you feel comfortable doing. There is no right or wrong answer. Of course, the more time you spend, the more credits you get.

Example-How to sign up?

I will take you through the sign up process of one traffic exchange, which should give you an idea of how they all work.

I will start with Traffic Swarm because it is the most popular traffic exchange.

*Click on the link above to get sent to Traffic Swarm

*Click Login, and on the next page there is a red tab up top that says Join for FREE. Click that.

*Type in Your first name and your primary email account. (you will get 100 free credits to start)

*Fill in the rest of your information. It is self explanatory. Type in the security code and check both boxes. Go to step 3.

*You can set Traffic Swarm as your start page, but I don't recommend it. Just scroll down and click continue.

*Click No (unless you are interested in the offers) and click continue

*Scroll Down until you See Manage Your Site Promotions: Click add a New Site Address. This is where you will enter the referral address of the site you are advertising. Once you are done with that

*Scroll back to the top and click surf for credits. You need to surf for 50 credits to make your account become active. Then other people will be able to view your site.

*Before you log out, click Refer others to Traffic Swarm. This will give you your referral ID so you can get credits for anyone who signs up under you. Make sure you write this address down.

That's it, You're Done!

What Happens If you have More than 1 Affiliate Program you want to promote?

There is a great site called Page Swirl that will rotate up to 5 of your programs for FREE! What you do is sign up and add up to 5 affiliate (referral links). Then Page Swirl will give you 1 link you can promote. Then when you sign up to your traffic exchanges you just add that 1 link. As people on those exchanges go to view your ad, Page Swirl will rotate through your 5 programs. So one time they may see your first link, and the next time the person clicks they may see your second link, and so on. I love this program and I am currently using it.

Splash Pages

The last and final thing I would like to say about traffic exchanges is that Most People are inclined to click on a splash page verses your affiliate link. This is because Splash Pages are designed to capture a person's interest in the first 5 seconds. With traffic exchanges the viewer is only going to have less than a 30 second impression of your site.

There is a free splash page generator you can use called Instant Squeeze Page Generator. It is simple to follow for beginners and almost anyone can create a Splash Page. It doesn't have to be fancy, it just has to capture the viewers interest in a few seconds. Since it has easy step by step instructions, I don't think I am going to write any further directions for you here. I know you can get the hang of it.

A Note For Beginners

You do not need to do everything in this report. Take your time and get to know each site first. Add 1 new site per week if that is what you need to do. Getting overwhelmed will only discourage you. I didn't learn all about traffic exchanges in a day, or week for that matter. I also spent a lot of time studying and talking to my mentor. As you start to get the hang of one concept you can move on to the next. I also only recommend you make a splash page after you have had some experience with traffic exchanges.

I hope this information has helped you and I want you to feel free to pass it on to your downline if need be. Helping others succeed will ultimately help you succeed.

Best Wishes,

Alicia Bodine
